Careers Enrichment Year 11
In the Autumn Term of Year 11 you will be taught a Careers Unit to prepare you for Post 16. This is an enrichment unit where you will: Research you Post 16 and Post 18 options available to you, create an Individual Action Plan, create a Curriculum Vitae , write a personal statement and complete practice application forms
In this unit you will access the cascaid website to use Kudos and Careerscape which have career choices and Post 16/18 choices. To access Kudos/Careerscape you need to use your school username and see your teacher for your password.
Kudos has an A-Z of career options to look at for over 700 career options. You can explore career suggestions from taking a survey or look at your own career ideas. You can then see how well matched you are to these careers based on the survey. You can add careers and subjects to your own personal Action Plan
Careerscape is aimed at Year 11 students. It interlinks with Kudos and allows you to access information on subjects, study and training options and qualifications. You can also view details of over 43,000 UCAS higher education courses. It also offers further in-depth information on careers such as real-life case studies, video footage of people at work, photographs and sound clips. As well as providing careers information, Careerscape helps you with the surrounding issues that affect career choice such as education/training options, employment issues, subjects, higher education courses and lifestyle issues.
