Marking and Feedback Policy.

 

KS3:

All students will receive a minimum of 5 yellow stickers (WWW and EBI) per term. This will comprise:

2 x class work (1 per half term)

2 x home learning activity (1 per half term)

1 x assessment (at least 1 per term)

The marking and feedback on class and home learning will be based on NC Levels (which can be found in the back of exercise books).

The written comment will incorporate the main features of the strengths and areas to improve of students’ work in relation to their NC target.

The student will be expected to respond to the EBI in writing at the start of the lesson following feedback

Assessments will be based on GCSE style questions and marked with GCSE criteria mark schemes. They will be done on paper and stored in each Student History progress file in the History Stock cupboard- they will follow the process listed above.

Spelling, punctuation, grammar and neatness will be highlighted and corrected where the teacher deems necessary.

 

KS4/KS5

All students will have each examination style question stickered with WWW and EBI feedback relating to their target and examination board criteria.

General class work in files and books will be monitored each half term and stickered at the discretion of the teacher.
